What is Epithalon?
Epithalon is a lab-made version of a four-amino-acid chain, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly, that researchers first identified inside an extract of the pineal gland, a small structure deep in the brain tied to the body's daily clock. A St. Petersburg research group synthesized the short peptide themselves after finding this pattern in the gland extract. It belongs to a small family of short bioregulator peptides that this same group has studied for several decades. SBz Industries sells it for laboratory research only.
Has epithalon been tested in people?
Yes, but only in small, older studies from one research group, including one on retina changes in a handful of patients. There is no large modern human trial.
Does epithalon actually lengthen telomeres?
One lab dish study on human skin cells reported that it turned on telomerase and lengthened telomeres in that cell culture. That finding has not been independently repeated by other labs at scale.
How is Epithalon reconstituted?
Epithalon ships as a freeze-dried powder. Mix it with bacteriostatic water, added slowly down the inside wall of the vial, and let it dissolve without shaking. The researcher decides the working concentration, not us, and we publish no protocols.
How should Epithalon be stored?
Lyophilized: -20C, protected from light. Reconstituted: 2-8C. Vials ship in plain outer packaging with no product name on the outside.
Is Epithalon tested, and can I see the results?
Yes. An independent lab tests every compound: it confirms the compound is what the label says and measures purity by HPLC. The latest certificate is on the product page, and you can read it before you order.
Who is permitted to purchase Epithalon?
Researchers and institutions, 21 or over. By ordering you confirm the material is for laboratory research and will not be used in humans or animals.
